Sansui TU-217
Sansui TU-217 is a vintage stereo FM/AM tuner from the late 1970s. It was the smallest and most basic model in Sansui's famous x17 series.
The FM front-end is built around a 3-gang tuning capacitor and uses two 10.7MHz IF filters. HA1137W and HA1196 ICs are employed in the discriminator and stereo decoder circuitry, respectively.
This unit is unusual in having no dial illumination. Despite its basic construction and modest positioning, the TU-217 is known for its surprisingly good performance.
