Technics ST-610L
The Technics ST-610L is a medium range FM/AM/LW stereo tuner from the early 1990s.
The RF front-end uses three varicap diodes in the tuning stage, followed by two 10.7MHz ceramic filters, ensuring good selectivity and effective separation across the FM band. Further signal processing is handled by the AN7273W IF amplifier and AN7470 multiplex decoder, delivering a clean and stable stereo output.
System control is managed by the LC6512 microcontroller, enabling digital tuning, station scanning, and memory functions. The tuner allows storage of up to 24 presets for quick access to favorite stations.
The soundstage is pleasant and well-balanced, while the visual design reflects the classic Technics aesthetic of its era. The fluorescent display, combined with an array of control buttons, gives the unit a sharp and professional look.
