Technics ST-7300
The Technics ST-7300 is a mid-range FM/AM stereo tuner from the late 1970s.
Its FM section uses a 3-gang variable capacitor in the RF front end, followed by three 10.7MHz ceramic filters and an AN217P IC in the IF section. FM demodulation is handled by the AN377 IC, while stereo decoding is performed by the AN363 IC. Final audio filtering is carried out by Technics' proprietary SLMA1Z3-Z low-pass filter.
The ST-7300 offers a decent soundstage and stable reception, which suits its mid-range positioning well. Visually, its appearance follows the Technics design language of the era and closely matches the SU-7300 and SU-7700 amplifiers. Two color versions were available: silver and Technics Brown, with the latter being the more iconic Technics finish of the period.
